Slash on the Chance of a Guns N’ Roses Reunion: ‘Never Say Never’

Story by Charles Ken
Slash is giving Guns N’ Roses fans hope for the possibility of a full-fledged Guns N’ Roses reunion
When asked about the possibility of a Guns N’ Roses reunion with Slash and Axl Rose in the band, both Slash and Rose usually say it will never happen. That changed last week, thought, when Slash was a guest on “CBS This Morning.” The guitarist, once again, was asked about the chances of a Guns N’ Roses reunion, and he replied, “never say never.”
“If everybody wanted to do it and do it for the right reasons, I think the fans would love it,” Slash said. “I think it might be fun at some point to try and do that.”
Slash, who left Guns N’ Roses in 1996, said he and Rose haven’t spoken in “a long time,” but added, “…a lot of the tension that you were talking about has dissipated. We don’t have all those issues anymore. There’s not a lot of controversy. It’s something that’s more perpetuated by the media than anything.”
While Guns N’ Roses fans sit around stoked at the idea of a full-fledged reunion, Slash is keeping busy with his solo project with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators. He and the guys will release a new music video for the song, “Beneath the Savage Sun,” off their “World on Fire” album. Slash and Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators put together the video with the International Fund for Animal Welfare to raise awareness of endangered elephants.
