Chris Cornell Announces Details on New Solo Album, ‘Higher Truth’
Chris Cornell has a new solo album on the way, plus fall North American tour
Chris Cornell recently told fans he has a solo album on the way this fall, and now that collection has a solid release date. The album, “Higher Truth,” will arrive on Sept. 18, and Cornell will promote the new songs on a full-fledged North American acoustic tour.
“Higher Truth” marks Cornell’s first solo album since 2011’s “Songbook,” which was a live album, and fifth overall solo release.
Cornell’s tour in support of “Higher Truth” will set off on Sept. 20 at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles and hit more than two dozen cities before closing out Nov. 2 in Austin, Texas.
Tickets for the shows are on sale now. One dollar from every ticket sold will go towards the Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation, which he and his wife founded to assist children vulnerable to homelessness, poverty, abuse or neglect.
