Shazam has launched a new discovery program that connects musicians and listeners
Music discovery app Shazam has launched a new program that lets fans see what songs their favorite artists are “Shazaming. Linkin Park, Imagine Dragons, Fall Out Boy, Pearl Jam and Coldplay are among the artists who are taking part in the new incentive.
Here’s how it works: When you follow an artist on Shazam, you’ll be able to see what songs they spun and check them out, too. Fans can also respond right to the artist and give them your thoughts about their taste in music.
“Shazam is one of my favorite ways to discover music,” Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda said in a statement. “I’m excited for the next step in its evolution, and happy that Fort Minor and Linkin Park can play a role.”
“As an artist, I’m a big fan of discovering new music and Shazam helps me keep a pulse on that,” Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz added. “I’m stoked to be able to share what I’m into with millions of fellow music fans.”
