Escape the Fate Announce New Album, ‘Hate Me’
Escape the Fate have a new album up their sleeves, ‘Hate Me’
Escape the Fate just wrapped up an appearance on this summer’s Warped Tour, and now, the guys are ready to release a new album. The band’s upcoming, fifth studio album will be titled “Hate Me” and released Oct. 30. The opening song off “Hate Me,” a furious track called “Just a Memory,” is available for free download now via EscapetheFate.com.
“Lyrically, a lot of these tracks are based around the hate we’ve received over the years and just embracing that and using it to our own advantage,” frontman Craig Mabbitt said in a statement. “I’ve had to step up to the plate lately, for the fans as much as anything else, because they take the name Escape the Fate very seriously and I owe them something for that, for all the support they’ve shown us over the years.”
He added, “It’s very humbling for me to be able to listen to this collection of songs and think about where we’ve come from and what we’ve been through to get to this point.”
Escape the Fate will embark on a fall headlining tour in support of “Hate Me.” The trek will kick off Oct. 13 in Anaheim, California, and run through a Nov. 15 stop in San Diego, California.
