Saint Asonia Recall First Concert
Saint Asonia says their first concert was filled with adrenaline and energy
Even though the members of Saint Asonia all hail from established bands, there were still some butterflies when the guys took the stage for the first time. That gig was at Rock on the Range last May. It was a surprise performance for attendees, but Saint Asonia were ready.
In an episode of the band’s “The Making Of” web series, band members recall that first gig.
“I think that the crowd sort of fed off our energy,” frontman Adam Gontier said in the video. “We were pretty excited and stoked, a lot of adrenaline and nerves and all that stuff. I think that came across and the crowd was into it.”
Saint Asonia is the brainchild of Gontier, who used to front Three Days Grace, and current Staind guitarist Mike Mushok. The group also includes Eye Empire bass player Corey Lowery and ex-Finger Eleven drummer Rich Beddoe.
When asked about the band’s tunes, Mushok said the goal was to be “happy with and proud of the music that we’re putting out.”
“I think that this record, from top to bottom, I’m really proud of the way it came out,” Mushok added.
Saint Asonia’s debut album is available now.
