AFI’s Davey Havok and Jade Puget Back with Blaqk Audio
Blaqk Audio are gearing up to release a new album this spring
Blaqk Audio is back. The electronic duo featuring AFI’s Davey Havok and Jade Puget have announced that their new album, “Material,” will arrive on April 15. The album’s first single, “Anointed,” is streaming now via BlaqkAudio.com.
“Being huge music fans and fundamentally driven by music in a creative sense, (Blaqk Audio) is a wonderful outlet for our long-standing love of electronic music,” Havok said in a statement. “Were it not for BA, I’d still be writing this type of music, even if it never saw the light of day.”
Havok and Puget launched Blaqk Audio in 2001. Their debut album arrived in 2006, since the guys were busy with AFI for several years. “Material” will mark Blaqk Audio’s third album and their follow-up to 2012’s “Bright Black Heaven.”
Havok is a busy guy. On top of working with Blaqk Audio, he is serving as the lead vocalist of a new band that features No Doubt members Tom Dumont, Tony Kanal and Adrian Young.
