Candlebox to Release New Album, ‘Disappearing in Airports’

Candlebox are coming up on the release of a new album
You may remember Candlebox from their ‘90s mega-hit “Far Behind.” The Seattle guys still play shows and crank out new music, and they just announced they will release their latest album, “Disappearing in Airports,” on April 22.
The band is streaming the lead single from “Disappearing in Airports,” “Vexatious,” via SoundCloud.
“‘Vexatious’ is about the social networking-obsessed, unlimited bragging rights society we live in, where people come off as entitled yet so insecure,” frontman Kevin Martin said in a statement. “Whether it’s a pop star feuding senselessly with another pop star, or people who can’t help but to take 50 different selfies in under a minute missing everything that’s happening around them, it’s a sad commentary on life that we can’t escape.”
“Disappearing in Airports” will hit all the usual spots on Feb. 5.
Candlebox also have an acoustic tour set for the Northeast next month, as well as appearances at U.S. festivals Welcome to Rockville and Carolina Rebellion.
