Watch Dave Grohl and more rock a Motorhead classic

A slew of hard rock and metal musicians rocked a special event last Friday (Jan. 22) at Lucky Strike Bowling in Hollywood. The show, Dimebash, was a tribute concert for the late “Dimebag” Darrell Abbott.

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl was present at the event, and on top of paying tribute to the Dimebag, who played guitar in Pantera, Grohl also headed up an all-star performance of the Motorhead classic “Ace of Spades” to honor the late Lemmy Kilmister.

Grohl was joined at the “Ace of Spades” performance by Metallica bass player Robert Trujillo, founding Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo and one of Dimebag’s former Pantera comrades, singer Phil Anselmo. Fan-filmed footage of the performance is up on YouTube.

Grohl wasn’t originally slated to play Dimebash, but he stepped in for Alice in Chains guitarist Jerry Cantrell, who had to cancel his appearance for a visit to the emergency room.
