Slash, Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready Appear on Ace Frehley’s Covers Album
Ace Frehley has a covers album on the way, and it features some famous rockers
Slash and Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready appear on “Origins Vol. 1,” the upcoming a covers album from original Kiss guitarist Ace Frehley. The set will arrive on April 15.
“Origins Vol. 1” has covers of songs by a handful of rockers, including Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, the Rolling Stones, Cream, Steppenwolf and Thin Lizzy. Slash plays on a cover of Thin Lizzy’s “Emerald,” and McCready strums guitar on a rendition of the Kiss song, “Cold Gin.”
Other musicians who appear on “Origins Vol. 1” are Rob Zombie’s John 5, Lita Ford and Paul Stanley.
