Jane’s Addiction Announce Sterling Spoon Anniversary Shows
Perry Farrell, Dave Navarro and company will celebrate the anniversaries of ‘Ritual de lo Habitual’ and Lollapalooza with a tour
Jane’s Addiction are in the midst of the 25th anniversaries of their sophomore album, “Ritual de lo Habitual,” and the beginning of frontman Perry Farrell’s Lollapalooza. In honor of the two milestones, Farrell, Dave Navarro and the guys have announced the Sterling Spoon Anniversary tour. The trek will begin on July 15 in Brooklyn, New York, and run through a July 23 date in Cleveland. Openers will include two legendary acts: Dinosaur Jr. and Living Colour. For ticket information on the dates, head to JanesAddiction.com.
“Ritual de lo Habitual” dropped in 1990, making it 25 years old last year. The album included the chart-topping singles “Stop!” and “Been Caught Stealing.” The set list for the Sterling Spoon Anniversary shows will include songs from “Ritual de lo Habitual” but also include tracks for the band’s entire career.
The tour will also be a “tribute to the early years of Lollapalooza,” according to a press release. Farrell founded the festival in 1991.
This year’s Lollapalooza will take place from July 28 to 31 in Chicago’s Grant Park.
