Canada’s Pemberton Music Festival will rock with Pearl Jam, Mastodon and more
Grunge greats Pearl Jam have booked another festival day on their 2016 itinerary. The Eddie Vedder-fronted group will perform a headlining set at Canada’s Pemberton Music Festival, which will take place July 14 through 17 in Pemberton, British Columbia. Atlanta metal band Mastodon will also appear at the event. The guys are on the road touring behind their latest release, 2014’s “Once More ‘Round the Sun.”
Other acts booked for the music festival include Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Billy Idol, Cypress Hill, Bassnectar, Cold War Kids, Savages, Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube, among others. For information and tickets, head to PembertonMusicFestival.com.
Pearl Jam are also slated to headline this year’s New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Bonnaroo Festival.
Vedder, meanwhile, is sandwiching some solo headlining shows into his 2016 schedule. He’ll perform solo at the debut Ohana music festival, which is set for Aug. 27 and 28 in Dana Point, California. Other performers slated to appear at Ohana include Mudhoney, Lana Del Rey, Elvis Costello, X. For information, visit TheOhanaFest.com.
Pearl Jam are currently on their 2016 North American arena tour, which kicked off last week.
