Linkin Park’s New Album is ‘Personal and Revealing,’ Says Mike Shinoda
Linkin Park are working on a very personal album
As a musician, making music usually means opening up about what’s going on in your life. That seems to be the case with Linkin Park’s new album. The guys are working away on their new album, and in an email sent out to fans, guitarist Mike Shinoda discusses how the new tunes are shaping up.
“As I listen through them, I feel like these songs are really personal and revealing,” Shinoda wrote. “We have really poured our hearts into the words and melodies, and it’s starting to show as we approach recording the ‘keeper’ vocals.”
He added, “With that said, we’ve got a lot of material to choose from, and decided to get votes from all six of the guys in the band, to see which songs are rising to the top. We clearly have an album in there. We’re looking forward to getting the vocals right, and starting to put sounds on them.”
The upcoming release will mark Linkin Park’s follow-up to 2014’s “The Hunting Party.”
