Red Hot Chili Peppers Announce New Album, ‘The Getaway’
Hear a new Red Hot Chili Peppers song, ‘Dark Necessities’
Red Hot Chili Peppers have returned. The longstanding alternative rap-funk rockers have officially unveiled details on their new studio album, which will mark their 11th release.
The set, called “The Getaway,” will arrive June 17. The Peppers have already unleashed the album’s debut single, “Dark Necessities,” and the song is streaming via YouTube.
Danger Mouse produced “The Getaway,” and Radiohead collaborator Nigel Godrich mixed the set.
In other news, the Red Hot Chili Peppers have already signed on to play a number of music festivals this weekend, including Lollapalooza, Rock on the Range and Osheaga. We’re guessing the band will hit the road on a headlining tour to support “The Getaway,” too.
Red Hot Chili Peppers ‘The Getaway’ Track List:
“The Getaway”
“Dark Necessities”

“Goodbye Angels”

“Go Robot”
“Feasting on the Flowers”
