Twisted Sister is Saying Farewell to the NYC Area

Story by Cat Badra
Dee Snider and Twisted Sister have booked their final New York City area show
They’re not going to take it anymore. We’re talking about Twisted Sister. The Dee Snider-fronted band is saying farewell – to New York City, at least – on their second annual Rock Carnival in Lakewood, New Jersey.
Twisted Sister will headline the three-night event this fall, and the show is being called the group’s final performance in the New York City area. Other acts slated to take the stage include Fuel, Overkill, Ace Frehley, Monster Magnet and Tom Keifer’s Cinderella.
Twisted Sister had previously announced that they would call it quits this year, which marks their 40th anniversary. The band’s longtime drummer, AJ Pero, passed away last year.
The Rock Carnival is set for Sept. 30 through Oct. 2 at FirstEnergy Park in Lakewood. Non-music thrills will include professional wrestling, a carnival area, rides, food trucks and pig racing.
