Tool and A Perfect Circle frontman Maynard James Keenan releasing new book
Maynard James Keenan has a biography on the way. The frontman for Tool and A Perfect Circle will release his new book, “A Perfect Union of Contrary Things,” Nov. 8. Keenan wrote the biography with Tool’s longtime friend, Sarah Jensen.
“A Perfect Union of Contrary Things,” according to a press release, will tell the tale of Keenan’s life “from his Midwest childhood to his years in the Army to his time in art school, from his stint at a Boston pet shop to his place in the international spotlight and his influence on the disparate fields of contemporary music and regional wine making.”
The biography will also special photos from Keenan’s early years and new interviews with his friends and family.
In other news, before the release of “A Perfect Union of Contrary Things,” Tool will play a handful of U.S. headlining shows in October. The guys will also serves as headliners on the Aftershock and Voodoo Music + Arts Experience festivals this fall.
