Bastille Announce New Album, ‘Wild World’
Get ready for Bastille’s ‘Wild World’
The U.K.’s Bastille found themselves extremely in demand after the success of their 2013 album “Bad Blood” and the catchy, pulsating single “Pompeii” off the release. Now, Bastille is on target to release a new album, “Wild World,” Sept. 9.
The cover art of “Wild World” depicts two people sitting on the edge of a building in a bustling city.
“To me, the image isn’t about what’s just happened or what happens next,’ frontman Dan Smith said of the image. “It’s not about how they got there or how they get down. It’s about sharing a moment — two friends existing in that split second in that exact space, two people framed in the vast context of this huge mad metropolis that we’ve all built. They’re there out of choice.”
While the track list hasn’t been released for “Wild World” yet, we do know the album will include the single “Good Grief” and the song “Send Them Off!”
In other news, Bastille will be performing at a handful of high-profile music festivals this summer, such as Lollapalooza and Osheaga. Bastille will also play at Colorado’s famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre in October.
