Guns N’ Roses Perform with Drummer Steven Adler

Story by Charles Ken
Steven Adler joined Guns N’ Roses onstage in Cincinnati
All the Guns N’ Roses fans that were complaining about drummer Steven Adler being left out of the reunion have some good news. Adler, who was part of the “Appetite for Destruction” era of Guns N’ Roses, joined Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan on the stage during the band’s Cincinnati show Wednesday (July 6) on the Not in This Lifetime tour. It was Adler’s first time playing with Guns N’ Roses in more than 25 years.
Adler and Guns N’ Roses performed two “Appetite for Destruction” songs together: “My Michelle” and “Out ta Get Me.” The band posted a photo of Adler with the guys on Twitter, stating, “Live from Cincy…#NotInThisLifetime.”
Adler became a member of Guns N’ Roses in 1985 but parted ways with the band five years into his time the band because of his issues with drug addiction.
So, what about Guns N’ Roses reuniting with guitarist Izzy Stradlin? That doesn’t seem like it’s in the cards for now. Stradlin has already commented that he wouldn’t be part of the Not in This Life Time tour. Stradlin also recently dropped a solo tune called “F.P. Money” with former Guns N’ Roses drummer Matt Sorum.
Guns N’ Roses’ Not in This Lifetime tour picks up again Saturday (July 9) in Nashville.
