Metallica Announce New Album, ‘Hardwired…to Self Destruct’

Metallica fans are likely pinching themselves. The metal guys have finally unveiled the details of their new studio album. The upcoming release will be a double-album named “Hardwired…to Self Destruct.” It’s about time! The album’s lead single, titled simply “Hardwired,” is streaming now via YouTube.
“Hardwired…to Self Destruct” will pack almost 80 minutes of music into two CDs. If that’s not enough Metallica for you, a deluxe edition of the album will include a third CD with the riffs that where the basis of each song.
In other news, Metallica will headline a gig Saturday (August 20) at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. The group is expected to announce many more tour dates to promote the upcoming album soon.
Metallica’s last studio album was 2008’s “Death Magnetic.”
