Hear a never-before-released Temple of the Dog song
Temple of the Dog have unleashed a demo of “Angel of Fire,” a previously unreleased track that will appear on the band’s upcoming 25th anniversary reissue its self-titled debut, and only, album. The grunge supergroup is streaming “Angel of Fire” now via TempleoftheDog.com.
“Angel of Fire” is one of two new tracks that will arrive on the Temple of the Dog album reissue, the other one being “Black Cat.” The reissue will also pack various outtakes, demos and alternate mixes, as well as a remastered edition of the original album.
The Temple of the Dog reissue will arrive in a variety of formats – including CD, digitally and as a “super deluxe” edition, the latter with a DVD with performance footage and music videos and a Blu-ray audio disc – on Sept. 30. The set will be released on vinyl Nov. 11.
It’s a big year for Temple of the Dog, because the guys will set off on their first-ever tour this fall. All of the group’s original members are scheduled to be on the trek: Chris Cornell, Matt Cameron, Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard and Mike McCready. The tour will kick off Nov. 4 in Philadelphia.
