Maynard James Keenan’s Book Tour to Feature Moderators from Soundgarden, A Perfect Circle

Maynard James Keenan has a new book out in November
Tool and A Perfect Circle frontman Maynard James Keenan is hitting the road on a tour to promote his upcoming book, “A Perfect Union of Contrary Things,” in November. Those who head to the tour should expect a reading of the book by Keenan, plus a “moderated” discussion. The list of moderators for the discussions is impressive: Kim Thayil of Soundgarden, Billy Howerdel from A Perfect Circle and Steven Drozd of the Flaming Lips.
Thayil will be with Keenan in Seattle on Nov. 19, Howerdel will serve as the moderator in Los Angeles on Nov. 22 and Drozd will be on hand for the tour’s final stop in Dallas on Nov. 27. The other dates of the tour will include other moderators that are artists, actors and chefs.
Keenan will set off on the book tour starting Nov. 9 in Nashville. It’s good timing, as “A Perfect Union of Contrary Things” will be released the day before, Nov. 8.
In Tool news, the music collective Metamorphestra recently released their take on Tool’s popular rock song, “Schism.” The group, which puts together orchestral covers of rock tunes, has posted a video of the track on their YouTube page.
