Coldplay to Release ‘Kaleidoscope’ EP in 2017
Coldplay have new, original songs in the works
After Coldplay released their “A Head Full of Dreams” album in 2015, there was lots of talk that the guys wouldn’t ever record new music again. Well, those rumors were dashed this week, when band leader Chris Martin announced that Coldplay are preparing to release an EP of original music in 2017.
“Hello everyone, we’re working on some new songs for next year,” he stated via Twitter. “It’s called the Kaleidoscope EP.”
No word yet on whether the “Kaleidoscope” EP will include any special guests, in line with their “A Head Full of Dreams” release. That album included guest appearances from Beyonce, Noel Gallagher and Tove Lo.
In other news, Coldplay will also hit the road in 2017 on a North American tour. The trek will kick off Aug. 1 at MetLife Stadium in New York City and wrap up Oct. 8 at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego. Most recently, Martin and company performed at Global Citizen Festival in Mumbai, India. For more information on the upcoming North American tour, head to Coldplay’s official website.
