Linkin Park Offer ‘Hybrid Theory’-Themed Clothing for Giving Tuesday
Linkin Park are getting in on the #GivingTuesday celebration
Today (Nov. 29) is #GivingTuesday, and in honor, Linkin Park is offering custom t-shirts and hoodies with designs that are similar to the cover art of their debut album, “Hybrid Theory.”
Mike Shinoda and Joe Hahn of Linkin Park designed the shirts along with artist Blaine Halvorson and his brand, MadeWorn. Linkin Park has a video of the guys working on the clothing via RollingStone.com.
“We made it to represent the duality of the band’s sound — the intersection of contrasting elements, and the hard-versus-soft tension in our band’s music,” Shinoda said of the shirts’ artwork. “It’s an image that’s synonymous with the band’s name at this point, and one that has become a cornerstone of our group’s visual language over the years.”
#GivingTuesday, an international day of giving, takes place the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. Funds raised from the sales of the “Hybrid Theory” clothing will go the Linkin Park charity organization Music for Relief, which helps those impacted by natural disasters. The clothing is available at MadeWorn.com.
Linkin Park, of course, are currently working on their seventh studio release. The upcoming album will mark their follow-up to 2014’s “The Hunting Party.”
