Sting Announce 2017 Tour Dates
Here’s Where to See Sting in 2017
Sting reopened the Bataclan concert hall last weekend, and now, he has unleashed a fresh slate of 2017 tour dates. The former Police frontman will play a collection of venues early next year to promote his just-released solo album, “57th & 9th,” setting off with a Feb. 1 gig in Vancouver, Canada, and running through a March 14 concert in New York City.
Sting is taking some familiar musicians along for the tour, including a three-piece group that includes his guitarist Dominic Miller, Miller’s son Rufus and prolific rock drummer Josh Freese. Also on tour will be Sting’s son Joe Sumner and San Antonio’s the Last Bandoleros, the latter who sang backing vocals on Sting’s “57th & 9th.”
Tickets for Sting’s upcoming trek will go on sale to the general public starting Monday (Nov. 21). For each ticket purchased online, fans will get a free download of “57th & 9th.”
After the 2017 North American tour dates, Sting will kick off a European tour starting March 21 concert in Barcelona, Spain, and stay overseas through an April 12 and 13 stint in Paris.
