Foo Fighters to Headline 2017 BottleRock Napa
Will Foo Fighters tour in 2017? They’re dropping some hints
Just what are Foo Fighters plotting for 2017? The band has been pretty quiet since wrapping up their touring cycle behind their last studio album, “Sonic Highways,” but following the ringing in of 2017, Dave Grohl and the guys posted an image of a map of the U.S. on Twitter, with a small section of California around San Francisco highlighted in bright red. Say what?
Now, the secret is out. Foo Fighters have confirmed they will headline the 2017 installment of the three-day BottleRock Napa festival, which takes place May 26 through 28 in Napa Valley, California. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and Maroon 5 are among the other performers.
The Foos have always enjoyed breaking news via cryptic messages and used a similar manner to give fans a heads-up in their summer European tour. That said, fans are speculating that Foo Fighters are also planning more U.S. tour dates for 2017. Only time will tell if that’s the case.
While plenty of 2017 music festival lineups and events have already been announced, so far, the only additional one that includes Foo Fighters is the 2017 MusiCares Person of the Year gala honoring Tom Petty. That show will take place Feb. 10 in Los Angeles.
