Iron Maiden Announce 2017 Tour Dates

Story by Cat Badra
Iron Maiden aren’t finished with touring yet
Iron Maiden set off on The Book of Souls Tour last year, and they’re ready to do it again. The longstanding metal band has announced a new collection of tour dates that will set off this summer in North America. The new tour dates will start June 3 in Bristow, Virginia, and wrap up with a concert July 21 in Brooklyn, New York.
Iron Maiden’s tour is in support of their latest studio album, 2015’’s “The Book of Souls.” Ghost, a heavy metal band out of Sweden, will serve as support on the North American tour dates.

“We are really looking forward to returning to North America for a full tour,” Iron Maiden bass player Steve Harris said in a statement. “We had always planned to go back there and to the U.K. as last year, due to the global nature of the tour and the period it took, we just didn’t have time to cover them properly and we do still like to get to fans in as many places as possible!”
In other news, Iron Maiden are slated to tour Europe before the North American trek. Florida rockers Shinedown will open.
