Linkin Park Release Emotional Video for ‘Heavy’
Watch the emotional music video for Linkin Park’s latest single, ‘Heavy’
Linkin Park recently dropped their new single, “Heavy,” off their upcoming album, “One More Light,” and now they’ve unleashed the complementing music video. The tune has a very distinct pop feel and is quite a different sound for the usually hard-hitting Linkin Park crew. In the video, singer Chester Bennington acts as a man fighting addiction. He goes to a meeting to help, but instead becomes violent and rage-filled. As the video nears the end, Bennington starts fighting with himself. The video for “Heavy” is streaming now at YouTube.
“One More Light” will arrive May 19. It will mark the band’s seventh studio album. “One More Light” will be Linkin Park’s follow-up to their 2014 studio album, “The Hunting Party.” The band’s last album took Linkin Park in a much heavier direction, which makes the pop nature of “One More Light” even more surprising.
In more Linkin Park news, Mike Shinoda from the band has been tapped to serve as a keynote speaker at the 2017 Midem music industry trade event, set for June 6 through 9 in Cannes, France.
“The DNA of Linkin Park has always been integrating forward-thinking culture, sounds and technology into our musical landscape,” Shinoda said in a statement. “We are always seeking new ways to release our music and connect with our global fan base. Interacting with bright minds and partnering with innovators that authentically connect with the band keeps us inspired and part of the changing tide.”
