Tool Gearing Up for Tour Announcement
Los Angeles metal band Tool is getting ready to announce live shows for 2017
Things are really moving along for Tool. The Los Angeles metal band is not only working on a new album, but frontman Maynard James Keenan and company will also be doing the touring rounds this year.
The band broke the news of an impending tour on Facebook today (March 9).
According to Tool’s official account, the band will announce the forthcoming tour dates next week.
“Tool tour dates heads up,” the post reads. “I will be posting some new Tool tour dates next week, so be sure to keep checking the site for info about more shows.”
Currently, Tool have just two festival dates on their itinerary for 2017: one at the Governors Ball in New York City, and the other at Boston Calling.
In other Tool news, the band’s new album is coming along slowly but surely. The latest post from Tool’s webmaster says that Keenan is working on recording vocals for the new album, which is the last step in Tool’s usual recording process.
“In speaking with Danny (Carey, drums) last night, he told me that the band has temporarily moved some of their gear into a larger space (across town) where Maynard is working on vocals…” the update states.
”I’m sure that he has already been doing this to some extent,” it continues, “but now he has more room to breathe and a better vocal booth.”
