Jon Bon Jovi to Crash College Graduation
Want Jon Bon Jovi to perform at your college commencement ceremony? Here are the details
Jon Bon Jovi and MTVU are teaming to give students an opportunity to have the rock legend perform acoustically at their 2017 commencement ceremony.
To enter, students may tweet their favorite college moments using the hashtag #JBJReunionContest and tagging their school. The deadline to tweet is Sunday, April 23 at 11:59 p.m. ET/PT, and the chosen school will be revealed the first week of May.
Jon Bon Jovi’s acoustic performance at the commencement will air on MTVU in June.
Jon Bon Jovi previously spoke at the Rutgers University’s commencement and performed a new song, “Reunion,” which appears on his current studio album, “This House Is Not for Sale.”
Bon Jovi are currently touring North America on their This House Is Not for Sale Tour. Speaking from the Detroit stop of the tour this week, Jon Bon Jovi told ABC’s “Good Morning America” that he will give the winning college graduates “some words” of advice.
Who would be his dream commencement speaker?
“Probably somebody who is smart like George Washington or Ben Franklin,” he said on the TV show. “But if I could have a musician come out and talk to me I’d probably want (Frank) Sinatra to come back. Can you imagine Frank coming out and giving a commencement speech?”
