Pearl Jam Guitarist Mike McCready to Release Photo Book

Did you know Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready is also a photographer?

Mike McCready isn’t just the lead guitarist of nearly inducted Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Pearl Jam—he’s also quite the photographer. Now, McCready is getting ready to release a book showing off his photography talents.

McCready, according to Rolling Stone, will release a photo book this May, called “’Of Potato Heads and Polaroids: My Life Inside and Out of Pearl Jam.’” So, what’s with the title? It’s a reference to the Mr. Potato Head toy McCready often has with him in photos.

The upcoming photo book will feature images McCready shot on Pearl Jam tours and his personal travels, including concerts, people, architecture and art.

A plethora of high-profile musicians will appear in the book, including Neil Young, Questlove, Paul McCartney, Sting, Dave Grohl, Bono, Jack White and Lady Gaga, as well as actor Dustin Hoffman, tennis legend Venus Williams and others.

McCready, of course, just wrapped up another big event. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with the guys of Pearl Jam last night (April 8) at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The inductees from Pearl Jam were McCready, singer Eddie Vedder, bassist Jeff Ament, guitarists Mike McCready and Stone Gossard and drummers Matt Cameron and Dave Krusen.
