Matchbox Twenty Announce 2017 Headlining Tour Dates
Amid their tour with Counting Crows, Matchbox Twenty book headlining shows
Matchbox Twenty and Counting Crows are already set to rock a meaty North American tour starting July 12 called A Brief History of Everything. But, the guys of Matchbox Twenty have also booked a new string of headlining dates for August, September and October.
The new shows, which go on sale to the general public Friday (June 9), kick off Aug. 3 with a gig in Tucson, Arizona and wrap up with an Oct. 7 concert in Moline, Illinois. Matt Nathanson will open most of the shows.
Matchbox Twenty’s 2017 tour dates also celebrate the 20th anniversary of the band’s multi-platinum debut album, “Yourself or Someone Like You,” which turned 20 last year. The guys didn’t tour in 2016, so this year marks their big party.
The Brief History of Everything tour with Counting Crows runs through an Oct. 1 stop in Irving, Texas.
