Chester Bennington from Linkin Park is dead at 41 years old
Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington has committed suicide, according to reports from TMZ.
According to TMZ, law enforcement sources are saying the singer hanged himself at a private residence in Palos Verdes Estates in L.A. County. His body was found just before 9 a.m. on Thursday (July 20).
Bennington was married with six children. He had issues with drugs and alcohol for years but there were no signs that something like this was on the horizon. Linkin Park was scheduled to tour the world on their One More Light World Tour. The band had also recently released a new album, “One More Light.”
According to TMZ, Bennington had previously said he had considered committing suicide.
Chester was a close friend with Chris Cornell, who hanged himself in May of this year. Today would have marked Cornell’s 53rd birthday.
The band has had a handful of major hits over the years, including “Faint,” “In the End,” “Numb” and “Crawling.”
