Ozzy Osbourne, Stone Sour, Prophets of Rage + More Set for Ozzfest Meets Knotfest
Ozzfest Meets Knotfest 2017 will bring sets from Stone Sour, Ozzy Osbourne and more
Ozzfest Meets Knotfest is back to rule in 2017, and the lineup will feature a fist full of heavy acts. The festival is the brainchild of Ozzy Osbourne and Slipknot, and while Ozzy will perform, Slipknot will take a year off in 2017 and make way for Corey Taylor’s other band, Stone Sour.
The 2017 Knotfest music festival will take place Nov. 4 through 5 in San Bernardino, California, and bring headlining performances from Rob Zombie and Ozzy.
Other performers this year include Prophets of Rage, Deftones, Eighteen Visions, Marilyn Manson, Life of Agony, Baroness and Testament, to name a few.
Ozzfest Meets Knotfest started last year with headlining performances from Black Sabbath and Slipknot. Ozzfest’s roots go way back to 1996, when it kicked off as a standalone festival.
“Last year’s show with Black Sabbath was just incredible and I’m thrilled to be coming back this year…to headline the 21st anniversary of Ozzfest,” Osbourne said in a statement.
“Knotfest was never supposed to be exclusively about Slipknot,” Taylor added. “It was always about the things that fueled the spirit of Slipknot: music, art, passion, insanity, and the tribes that give it power. So it would make sense for Knotfest to carry on these ideas, even without Slipknot.”
