The Offspring Planning New Album for 2018
The Offspring is almost ready with its 10th studio album
The guys of the Offspring have been quiet for the past few years, but they’ve been working away in the background on their upcoming, 10th studio album.
Now, in a new interview at Rock in Rio festival, singer Dexter Holland dropped the news that the new record will finally be out in 2018.
“It is true. We’re working on it,” Holland said when asked about the upcoming record in the video interview, which can be viewed below.
“We have been, yeah, for a while,” added guitarist Kevin “Noodles” Wasserman said in the same interview. “We’ve got a few songs already done. We wanna do a couple more, and we definitely wanna get something out soon. Our fans have waited long enough, I think, so we wanna get something in their hands that they can listen to and hold and put in their ears.”
The Offspring got their start in the late 1980s and released their self-titled debut album in 1989. The band released its last studio album, “Days Gone By,” back in 2012.
Albeit not a full album, the Offspring did release a new single named “Coming for You” in 2015, and that song hit No. 1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs chart.
