The metal guys of Metallica started teasing some big news on Friday (Feb. 23) with a video urging fans to check the band’s social media accounts on Monday (Feb. 26) to be the first to know the major scoop. That move had fans speculating that the news was everything from a new studio album to fresh round of tour dates. Now, Metallica has posted another teaser, and all bets are pointing to new dates for the band’s epic WorldWired Tour.

The Metallica crew took to Twitter, as well as Instagram and Facebook, today (Feb. 25) to post a similar video teasing a Monday announcement, but this time, with the flashing words, “WorldWired Tour.” The band has already played nearly 100 shows on their WorldWired Tour, 38 of which were in North America, and many of the arena concerts sold out. The WorldWired Tour, which is in support of Metallica’s “Hardwired…to Self-Destruct” album, kicked off in October of 2016 and has dates currently booked thorugh May of this year.

Another clue that Metallica is about to announce a bunch of new tour dates comes in the form of several major venues and radio stations throughout North America teasing a special concert announcement for Monday. Stay tuned for the final announcement this Monday.

In other news, Metallica has joined forces with shoe company Vans to release a collection of signature footwear. The band, who has worked with Vans in the past, has two new styles: the Sk8-Hi Reissue, which features “full grain leather upper and tonal deco-stitched Sidestripe with an etched Metallica logo on the sidewall with a wrapped version on the quarter panels,” and the Classic Slip-On, which features “an all-over logo print across the vamp and is finished with the same engraved logo on the sidewalls.” Find information on the new line at Metallica’s official website.
