Myles Kennedy of Alter Bridge Announces U.S. Solo Tour
Myles Kennedy is gearing up to release his debut solo album, “Year of the Tiger,” and now, it’s official that Kennedy will tour the U.S. to support to release. The Alter Bridge frontman and singer for Slash’s the Conspirators will hit the road on a solo trek starting May 2 at the Bing Crosby Theater in Spokane, Washington, and stay on the road through a May 25 show in Dundee, Illinois. Tickets for the run will go on sale to the general public starting at 10 a.m. local time Friday (Feb. 9). View Kennedy’s full roster of U.S. tour dates below.
Kennedy’s “Year Of The Tiger” will arrive on March 9 via Napalm Records. The set, which was produced by longtime Alter Bridge producer producer Michael “Elvis” Baskette, sees Kennedy not only singing put also performing on a range of instruments, including lap steel, mandolin, banjo, bass and, of course, guitar.
The album is a concept record dealing with some very personal issues for Kennedy. “What emerges is a 12-song concept record inspired by the loss of his father when he was a child,” describes an official statement. “Kennedy himself plays banjo, lap steel, bass, and mandolin in addition to guitar throughout the album.”
In other news, Kennedy’s band mate in Alter Bridge, Mark Tremonti, recently announced that his next album with his band Tremonti will be called “A Dying Machine” and, like Kennedy, arrive via Napalm. While no specific release date has been set yet for Tremonti’s album, it is slated to arrive sometime later this year.
