Counting Crows and Live to Embark on ’25 Years and Counting’ Tour
Counting Crows are celebrating 25 years of music with a 2018 worldwide tour
It’s hard to believe but Counting Crows have been making music and touring the globe for 25 years. In honor of the quarter century mark, Adam Duritz and company have announced a 2018 worldwide tour, dubbed “25 Years and Counting,” that will take the band through more than 40 cities in North America this summer. That’s not all, as the newly reunited Ed Kowalczyk and +Live+ will also appear on the trek.
The “25 Years and Counting” tour will kick off with a June 27 concert in Boise, Idaho, and run through a Sept. 22 gig in Nashville, Tennessee. Tickets for the trek will go on sale to the general public in most markets beginning at 10 a.m. local venue time Friday (April 6) via www.livenation.com. View the full 2018 tour itinerary below.
“The nice thing about having 25 years of music to celebrate and seven studio albums we absolutely love to choose from is that we can play a different show every night,” Duritz said in a statement. “The nice thing about touring with +Llive+ is that we get to spend yet another summer with old friends who play great music. We can’t wait!”
Kowalczyk added, “+LIVE+ is beyond excited to get out on the road this summer and play for our fans. We are freshly reunited and performing with a confidence and ferocity that we can’t wait for people to experience. The fact that we will be sharing the stage once again with the incomparable Counting Crows is icing on the cake!”
In other news Duritz recently launched a new podcast called “Underwater Sunshine!” — featuring discussions between Duritz and his longtime friend, author and music journalist James Campion. The podcast, which is available via iTunes, is a series of conversations “about life, music, and whatever comes into their large and incredibly handsome brains.”
