Daughtry Releases New Song, ‘Backbone’
Hear the latest track from Daughtry, the anthemic ‘Backbone’
Chris Daughtry and his rock band Daughtry are back with a new song, just in time for the band’s upcoming spring tour. The anthemic new track, called “Backbone,” is the first bit of new music to arrive off Daughtry’s upcoming full-length album, which is due out later this year. The song is also the first we’ve heard from Daughtry since the release of the group’s 2016 greatest hits set, “It’s Not Over…The Hits So Far.” Listen to the track below.
“This is just a little something to get everyone ready for the record,” Chris Daughtry said in a statement. “It’s been so long since we gave you new music that it only felt right to drop something fresh. We’ve put a lot into this music, and we can’t wait to share what’s to come.” The statement also explains that “Backbone” “paves the way for the for the first official single coming soon.”
In other news, the guys of Daughtry are gearing up for a short spring headlining North American tour with Sinclair. The tour will kick off Saturday (March 31) in Worcester, Massachusetts, and wrap up April 20 in Miami, Oklahoma.
