Corey Taylor and the Stone Sour guys have released a new music video with a country feel

Stone Sour has unleashed the music video for the song “St. Marie,” a track that appears on the group’s latest studio album, “Hydrograd.” The video, which is streaming on the band’s official YouTube page, features stark, long shots of dirt roads, mountainous landscapes, old-fashioned cafes, a bonfire and more. Watch the clip below.

As for the style of “St. Marie,” frontman Corey Taylor says the song shows off the band’s country influences and their “Inner Eagles,” speaking with Billboard.

“The video is kind of about a journey, which is really what this song is about in the first place,” Taylor said. “It’s a journey, trying to find redemption in a place where maybe there is none to find.”

Stone Sour spent a good portion of last year on the road in support of “Hydrograd,” and the band will return to touring starting April 28 at the Welcome to Rockville festival. The guys also have a major gig opening fpr Ozzy Osbourne on the metal icon’s No More Tours 2 run starting in August, which is being called Ozzy’s farewell tour.

So, what about new Slipknot? Taylor tells Billboard that the band is forging ahead with their next album, which will mark the follow-up to 2014’s “.5: The Gray Chapter.”

“The guys are writing tons of music and I’ve written lyrics to almost all of it,” Taylor said. “We’re going to start trying to put together demos here and there with the time off that I have and really try to get ahead of the curve as far as what happens next.”

“I know that we’re gonna try and put an album out next year,” he added. “However, that is all speculation.”
