Warped Tour Surprise Blink-182 Performance Canceled Due to Travis Barker’s Blood Clots
The guys of Blink-182 are taking a break while drummer Travis Barker deals with blood clots
Travis Barker is dealing with blood clots in his arms, and because of that, Blink-182 recently had to postpone dates on their Las Vegas residency. Now, the guys have also had to cancel a surprise appearance, which was actually unannounced, set to take place at the 2018 Vans Warped Tour.
The news came in a unique way: through some comments on Instagram. Responding in the comments section of their official Instagram page, the festival explained that “Blink was going to play but Travis is having medical issues with blood clots in his arm.”
The comment added, “His health is the most important thing right now.”
This summer’s Vans Warped Tour will mark the touring festival’s final North American tour. The festival is currently happening, and some of the acts on the 2018 roster include Asking Alexandria, Black Veil Brides, Beartooth, All Time Low, Underoath, Taking Back Sunday and Motionless in White.
For now, Barker and the guys of Blink-182 are taking it easy. The latest update from Blink-182, which is dated back on June 19, explains that the drummer “will be prevented from playing until the beginning of July when everything will be reevaluated.” It concludes, “Thank you for your continued support and well wishes.”
So far, the next show on Blink-182’s roster is a headlining appearance at Chicago’s Riot Fest in September. Hopefully Barker will be healed up by then.
