Slash and Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators Go Guitar-Heavy with ‘Driving Rain’
‘Driving Rain,’ the new single from Slash and his band Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators, features a killer riff
Slash and his band Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators have unleashed a new song called “Driving Rain,” which will appear on Slash’s upcoming solo album. The track has also been released via digital download.
“Driving Rain” marks the debut single from Slash and Myles Kennedy & the Conspirator’s new release, “Living the Dream,” which is out Sept. 21. The album is their follow-up to 2014’s “World on Fire.”
“This is a riff I specifically remember playing with the guys for the first time at a venue in New Hampshire on the World on Fire tour,” Slash said regarding “Driving Rain” in a statement. “It’s a cool guitar part we ran though, and from that point forward the rest of the song started to come together in my mind while on the road. We put it all together this year and Myles came up with a great melody for it.”
The song is also “reminiscent of vintage Aerosmith,” Kennedy said.
Slash and the crew will embark on a U.S. headlining tour to play the new tunes off “Living the Dream” and more starting Sept. 13 in Los Angeles.
