Kiss Announces ‘End of the Road’ Farewell Tour
After roughly 45 years of hard rocking, the guys of Kiss have announced their final tour
Get ready to say farewell to rock legends Kiss. The band confirmed their farewell tour on last night’s (Sept. 19) episode of “America’s Got Talent,” promising that their “End of the Road” tour will kick off in 2019. Shortly after, the band sent out some media posts on their official accounts promising more information soon.
On “America’s Got Talent,” the band said, “This is going to be our last tour. It will be the most explosive, biggest show we’ve ever done. People who love us, come to see us. If you’ve never seen us, this is the time. This will be the show!”
Kiss also released a statement saying, “All that we have built and all that we have conquered over the past four decades could never have happened without the millions of people worldwide who’ve filled clubs, arenas and stadiums over those years.” They added, “This will be the ultimate celebration for those who’ve seen us and a last chance for those who haven’t. KISS Army, we’re saying goodbye on our final tour with our biggest show yet and we’ll go out the same way we came in… Unapologetic and Unstoppable.”
In other news, remember when the guys of Kiss rocked the music world by releasing four solo albums, one by each band member? That was back on Sept. 18, 1978, which means this year marks the 40th anniversary of the collection. Now, in honor of that milestone, those solo albums are getting a makeover as a colored vinyl box set.
The new collection, called “KISS: The Solo Albums — 40th Anniversary Collection, will offer four 180-gram vinyl records in the Kiss solo colors: red for Gene Simmons, purple for Paul Stanley, and green for Peter Criss and blue for Ace Frehley. The set also packs four 12×12 mini posters, one for each solo record, as well as a turntable mat with the famed Kiss solo faces.
Kiss is keeping the box set rare, as it’s limited to 2,500 copies. The package will hit stores on Oct 19, and pre-orders are available via ShopKISSOnline.com.
