Foo Fighters on New Album: ‘I Can See the Next Record,’ Says Dave Grohl
Dave Grohl and Foo Fighters are already thinking about their next album
Foo Fighters have stayed busy the past few years, first writing and recording their latest album, “Concrete and Gold,” and then touring heavily to promote the release. That said, it’s not a big surprise that Dave Grohl and company are planning to have some downtime once their current tour wraps up.
“I’m ready to take a break,” Grohl said in an interview with Billboard. That doesn’t mean he’s ready to retire, of course, as he adds, “but I’m ready to do it again at some point.”
Grohl also stated that Foo Fighters definitely plan to release another album. In fact, the band already has a vision for the next Foo Fighters record, although they aren’t sure when they will actually start putting together the ideas for new set.
“I can see the next record– I know that there’s another one there,” Grohl said. “I don’t know when, but I think I know what we should do.”
In other news, Foo Fighters recently invited a 10-year-old fan and guitarist named Collier on the stage at their show in Kansas City last week. Collier ended up impressing the audience and Foos with impressive guitar chops, as he performed Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” and “Welcome Home (Sanitarium),” among other metal classics.
Foo Fighters’ current tour closed out last night (Oct. 23) date in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The band has just a few more dates scheduled on their itinerary, including two concerts in New Orleans in February and two European festival appearances in June.
