Jack White Promises New Raconteurs Album in 2019
The Raconteurs are gearing up to release their first studio album in more than a decade
It’s been quite a long time since Raconteurs fans have been treated to a fresh album, but that will all change in 2019. Jack White has revealed that the band is on target to release a new album next year, marking their first fresh studio album in more than a decade.
Before then, White’s Third Man Records Vault subscription service will release a seven-inch vinyl single with two new Raconteurs tracks. The Third Man Records Vault package will also feature a vinyl reissue of the Raconteurs’ previous album, 2008’s “Consolers of the Lonely,” to celebrate the album’s 10th anniversary. The collection will be pressed at White’s Third Man Records location in Detroit.
Confirmation of the new Raconteurs album and Vault set came in the form of a press release from Third Man Records, which explains, “For our 7″ for this package, we have something very special: the first NEW songs in ten years from recent sessions that will ultimately result in a new Raconteurs album in 2019!! That’s right, we’re not giving you track titles or even letting your hear a snippet. You’ll have to wait until this package hits your doorstep.
The time for you all to get pretty dang excited about what is to come next year begins right… now!”
Third Man Records Vault packages are only available to subscribers, and the deadline to sign up for the Vault with enough time to snag the Raconteurs package is October 31 at 12 a.m. CT. For information, head to ThirdManStore.com.
The Raconteurs features White alongside Brendan Benson and the Greenhornes’ Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler. Lawrence also rocks with White in The Dead Weather.
In other news, White is currently on the road in Europe to promote his latest solo album, “Boarding House Reach.”
