Pop Evil and Don Jamieson to Tour Together in 2019
Pop Evil and Don Jamieson will bring rock music and comedy together for a special tour next year
Rock music and comedy go together swimmingly well, and in that spirit, Michigan rockers Pop Evil have announced a 2019 North American tour with support from comedian Don Jamieson.
The trek, which is behind Pop Evil’s latest, self-titled album, will kick off Jan. 16 in Lincoln, Nebraska, and run through a Feb. 16 date in Madison, Wisconsin. Tickets for the shows will go on sale Friday (Oct. 19) via PopEvil.com.
Pop Evil is also hosting a special contest for a local band to open the concert at each tour stop. To enter the contest, your band must send the band a cover of Pop Evil’s song, “Be Legendary.” Additional details on the contest will be announced when it starts in November, but for now, just know to practice “Be Legendary.”
Jamieson was a host on VH1’s That Metal Show. He released “Communication Breakdown” via Metal Blade Records last year.
“We are excited to blend rock and comedy for this unique touring experience,” Pop Evil frontman Leigh Kakaty said in a statement. “We are big fans of Don, he will bring a lot of energy to the stage each night.”
