Metallica to Release Acoustic ‘Helping Hands’ Live Album
Metallica recently went unplugged at an All Within My Hands charity event, and now, the performance is being released digitally and on vinyl
The metal men of Metallica performed a special, acoustic show at the Masonic in their hometown of San Francisco earlier this month to raise funds for their All Within My Hands charity foundation. Now, those who couldn’t be at the gig will have a shot to see the Metallica crew go acoustic via an upcoming live album.
Metallica will unleash “Helping Hands…Live & Acoustic at the Masonic” on Feb. 1, 2019. The release will be available digitally, as well as on in independent record stores.
Metallica’s show at the Masonic featured unplugged performances of some of the band’s biggest hits, such as “Enter Sandman” and “Nothing Else Matters,” plus covers of songs by Deep Purple, Bob Seger, Nazareth and Blue Oyster Cult.
Metallica raised more than $1.3 million at the show, and those funds will be used to issues involving hunger and workforce education. For more information, visit Metallica’s official website.
