Myles Kennedy, Chester Bennington, David Ellefson + More Appear on Album from Lamb of God Guitarist
“Anesthetic,” the new album from Lamb of God’s Mark Morton, features guest appearances from Myles Kennedy, Chester Bennington and more
Prior to Chester Bennington’s death in July of 2017, Lamb of God guitarist Mark Morton tweeted a photo of him working with the Linkin Park singer and announced that the two musicians were working on new music together. Now, Morton has announced the details of his music with Bennington, plus some other big-named musicians.
Bennington’s voice will appear on Morton’s upcoming album, “Anesthetic,” which drops on March 1. Bennington sings on the song, “Cross Off.”
Anesthetic will also feature guest appearances from Alter Bridge frontman and Slash singer Myles Kennedy, Megadeth bass player David Ellefson, Papa Roach singer Jacoby Shaddix, Mark Lanegan and Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe. Morton’s band on the album features Ellefson, Alice in Chains’ Mike Inez, Korn’s Ray Luzier and Stone Sour’s Roy Mayorga.
“This album wasn’t a concerted effort to start something outside Lamb of God,” Morton said in a statement. “Music is always in my head, and until I write and record it, it’s stuck there. But once I record it, it’s out. It’s a catharsis, more for my own sanity.”
“Anesthetic” track “The Truth Is Dead,” which features appearances by Blythe and Alissa White-Gluz of Arch Enemy, is available now at all the usual digital outlets.
