Tool, System of a Down, In This Moment + More Set for Chicago Open Air 2019
Chicago Open Air will return in 2019 with headlining sets from Tool, System of a Down and In This Moment
Chicago Open Air 2019 took a year off in 2018, but the hard rock and metal festival will return in 2019 with two big ticket headliners: Tool and System of a Down. The festival will take place on May 18 and 19 at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, Illinois.
The 2019 edition of Chicago Open Air festival will also include the Prodigy, Ghost, Beartooth, In This Moment, Gojira, Beartooth, Code Orange, Knocked Loose, Vein and Fever 333, among others.
“I can’t even begin to express how excited we are to be playing Chicago Open Air Presents,” Maria Brink, frontwoman of In This Moment, said in a statement. “We had such a blast last time! Tool, The Prodigy and System Of A Down, that’s insane and such a powerful lineup. We feel blessed to be a part of it all. These are some of our all time favorite bands, I can’t wait to see you all there with In This Moment.”

As for Tool, the Maynard James Keenan-fronted band will also headline Florida’s Welcome to Rockville and North Carolina’s Epicenter festivals in 2019. The group is expected to release a new album in 2019, which will mark their long-awaited follow-up to Tool’s 2006 studio album, “10,000 Days.”
