Ozzy Osbroune Cancels Australia, New Zealand and Japan Dates Due to Pneumonia
Ozzy Osbroune is recovering from pneumonia and must cancel his upcoming Australia, New Zealand and Japan tour dates
Metal icon Ozzy Osbroune has announced that he will be forced to cancel his upcoming “No More Tours 2” concerts in Australia, New Zealand and Japan. This news comes on the heels of Osbourne postponing the entire U.K. and European leg of his “No More Tour 2” tour, following doctors’ orders.
“Ozzy recently developed pneumonia and has spent some time in hospital. Thankfully he is now through the worst part,” his wife, Sharon Osbourne, said in a new statement. “His doctors have advised that he stay at home to recuperate for a full six weeks with no travel.”
Ozzy has been hospitalized over the past few weeks for complications with the flu, which, as Sharon comments, turned to pneumonia. Last week, Sharon commented on her CBS talk show “The Talk” that he was “doing good.”
“He’s breathing on his own. He’s overcome by the response he’s had,” she said on the show regarding Ozzy’s health.
After dealing with both the flu and bronchitis, doctors made the decision to keep Ozzy in the hospital to make sure he could fully recover before returning to the stage.
Ozzy’s upcoming North American tour dates are still on the books, at least for now. Those dates are scheduled to kick off in May with support from fellow metal titans Megadeth. For all of Ozzy’s upcoming tour dates, visit Ozzy.com.
