Metallica Announces Signature Skateboard with Dogtown
Metallica and Dogtown are teaming up for a new signature skate deck
Metallica and famed skateboard brand Dogtown have joined forces to launch a new signature skate deck. The board combines the two brands, with a design that features the Metallica logo printed above the Dogtown cross.
The board shape and airbrush paint was designed by Jim “Red Dog” Muir and produced by Professor Schmitt at PS STIX. The graphic art was perfectly blended by Sean Cliver.
The Metallica skate deck will set you back $139.99, plus shipping and tax. It’s available for purchase via Metallica.com.
In other news, the members of Metallica recently wrapped up their second annual Day of Service volunteering initiative as part of their longstanding All Within My Hands charity foundation. According to statement from the band, more than 3,000 Metallica fans turned out to volunteer at local food banks in conjunction with the event. Hatebreed vocalist Jamey Jasta also showed up to volunteer
“Thank you for making our second annual Day of Service a success!” the band members wrote in a collective statement, also saying that they’re “overwhelmed with gratitude.”
“We hope that [it] will serve as year round inspiration and we encourage you to get out and give back in any way that you can, any day of the year,” the statement concludes.
