The Underground Thieves Release New Song, ‘Whole Lotta Money’
Founding Silvertide member Nick Perri is back with a new song, “Whole Lotta Money”
Southern California-based music collective The Underground Thieves are back with new music. The outfit, spearheaded by founding Silvertide member Nick Perri, just released a single and music video for the song “Whole Lotta Money,” and it’s garnering rave reviews from Perri’s colleagues in the music business.
“I haven’t heard a song that has made me literally want to get up and get a guitar and start playing immediately since I was a little kid,” said Danny Wagner of Greta Van Fleet.
“This song is infectious,” added Charlie Starr of Blackberry Smoke. “You can’t not boogie when you hear it. And, not only does it contain Nick Perri’s fantastic guitar playing, but he has stepped up to the vocal mic and is singing his ass off, as well.”
“Whole Lotta Money,” which was produced by Perri, features Justin DiFebbo (K-Floor) on Hammond organ and synthesizer, Brian Weaver (Silvertide) on bass, Anthony Montesano and Michael Montesano (Pepper’s Ghost) on background vocals, and new Underground Thieves addition Zil Fessler (Rusted Root) on drums.
“I wanted to write something fun, something groovy, and ‘Whole Lotta Money’ is what came out,” Perri said in a statement. “It is fun, but it’s got attitude. It’s also extremely honest, and 100% authentically me.”
“I wanted to write something fun and empowering about being grateful for what you have, and not relying on material goods for happiness,” Perri added. “I’m singing from the heart and through my guitar. This song is honest and authentically me.”
